Go Dragons!
I got into Drexel. I’ll write more about this later. I should update this site. In the meantime, here’s my personal statement.
My professional journey has been a series of strategic decisions, each carefully chosen to elevate my expertise in the dynamic fields of technology and business management. While this journey has led to significant achievements, including the opportunity to share my knowledge with undergraduate students as an adjunct faculty member, I find myself at a juncture where I have identified the LeBow Doctorate of Business Administration program at Drexel University as the next critical step in my aspiration towards becoming a recognized leader. Pursuing my Master of Business Administration was a deliberate step towards mastering industry best practices. Now, with the same clarity of purpose, I choose to embark on the LeBow DBA program driven by my intention to attain the pinnacle of my educational and professional aspirations.
Intentionality has become my guiding principle as I navigate my career. My MBA allows me to align my technical expertise with core business practices, enhancing both my professional capabilities and my effectiveness as an educator. The LeBow DBA program represents a strategic choice to acquire advanced skills and knowledge, positioning me to be recognized as a leader and innovator in business and technology. My experience in strategic IT leadership and digital transformation finds a strong resonance with the program’s emphasis on advanced strategic management and technological innovation. The program’s rigor and focus on real-world business challenges align perfectly with my journey orchestrating complex projects and spearheading innovative initiatives for large firms across multiple industries.
My career journey has not only been about excelling in high-stakes professional roles but concurrently about the continuous pursuit of personal and academic growth. Alongside completing my undergraduate and graduate education while working full-time, I have engaged in constant self-assessment, identifying and bridging gaps in my skill set to meet the evolving demands of each role. In addition to my professional and academic pursuits, I hold leadership roles in volunteering with my fraternity alumni group and the Project Management Institute. While these activities may not align directly with traditional resume criteria, they are integral to my personal growth and essential in shaping myself as a well-rounded, empathetic, and effective leader. These experiences have honed my ability to balance professional responsibilities with academic pursuits and civic engagement, underpinned by disciplined time management and a commitment to efficiency. As I prepare to undertake the DBA program, I am confident that these skills will enable me to successfully navigate its demands, further integrating my professional, academic, and personal aspirations.
Enrolling in the LeBow DBA program transcends a mere academic endeavor; it is a deliberate and strategic move towards transforming my proven technical skills and business knowledge into a formidable force at the forefront of technological and business strategy innovation. By mastering rigorous research methodologies and statistical analysis, I will elevate my business acumen to new heights in alignment with my ultimate ambitions. The LeBow DBA marks not merely a continuation, but a deliberate and significant leap forward in my quest to become a transformative leader at the nexus of technology and business.
